ALCHEMY SUMMER ART CAMPS

Engage your young artist this summer in a way that challenges growth and development.  At Alchemy Art Studio they can unfold their creativity by working with a multitude of materials and techniques. 

• Tuition includes all materials.
• Students must bring a bag lunch.
• Parking is available at rear of store.
• We have a high teacher to student ratio with 2 instructors per course.

COURSES:
 
CREATIVITY THRU MULTIMEDIA - Ages 7-12.  Each day will begin with Creative Visualization and Expressive Sketching.  The week will cover Drawing, Painting in Nature, Graphic Art Techniques, Printing, Color Mixing Theory and Multimedia Methods to include Acrylics, Oils, Clay Ceramics, watercolors, and more with a focus on unfolding creativity while crafting an art work.  Taught by Barry Sharplin and Dawn Hartfelder.

LUNCH AT THE LOUVRE' - Ages 7-12. Your child will be exposed to the work of a new artist each day.  Together we will explore what makes this artist's work unique.  Each child will create their own images inspired by what they learned using a variety of media including paint, collage, and clay.  Taught by Adrienne Crombie and Don Dalen.

Mon. Aug. 4 - Fri. Aug. 8, 10am-2pm

TIME TRAVEL ART - Ages 7-12.  We will travel back in time to explore prehistoric and ancient art.  Your child will discover the cave paintings of Lascaux, Minoan sculpture and Egyptian pictographs.  We will then create our own "time travel art" using a variety of media including paint, clay, fresco and gold leaf.  Taught by Adrienne Crombie and Don Dalen.

Mon. Aug. 11 - Fri. Aug. 15, 10am-2pm

OPEN STUDIO - Open to all ages!  Work at your pace but under the tutelage of an artist!  Specific projects will be assigned, but the expression becomes all your own.  Great for developing a portfolio.  Taught by Barry Sharplin and Dawn Hartfelder.
